Summer 2015 Pointcarré workshop progress!
The Weaving Data Research Group has completed three workshops with Louise Lemieux-Bérubé, and a fourth is coming up this July 14th. Group members have experimented with building colour chips, doubleweave/ double-sided cloth, and brocade. Some of the samples from the various workshops can be found on the samples archive blog. The blog will be updated regularly over the summer as more samples are woven.

Summer 2015 - CMYK colour warp and Pointcarré workshops
The Weaving Data Research Group (WDRG) will be using the Jacquard loom at Concordia's Fine Art Research Facilities to use a special CMYK (6-colour) warp to experiment with new colour and weaving techniques. Louise Lemieux-Bérubé, distinguished Jacquard artist will be offering five full days of workshops funded through the FRQSC Material Codes grant, and with the support of Pointcarré New York, we will be expanding our understanding of Jacquard weave into multiple cloths, double faced fabrics, taqueté and samit amongst others.
